Packing for it that is.  We are leaving Saturday at three in the morning to go camping for eight days.  We will stay at two different locations and will be intertaining different guests ranging from relatives to friends.  Packing for it is the worst, having to arrange and coordinate things, do we take this or do we not, will this fit?  But hey, I know it is worth it.  Last time we went camping my mom forgot to pack the graham crackers for smores (I had six one night) so we had to drive all the way into town to get some.  Lets hope we don't forget the marsh

I was talking with a friend who thinks it is very hot where I live right now, but that is not the case anymore.  I have not updated my blog.  Here it is, instead of nice 70-80 degree weather it has been cold and yucky until the afternoons.  It is a double pain because I work farming so you can't work until it is wramer and dry.  There are my woes, take 'em or leave 'em.

I start work today, on July 4th.  Bummer, but it's got to be done right?

For those of you who know what happened to our boat, (see previous blog post) I sure hope it gets fixed today.  My dad is taking off work on Thursday and it is supposed to be in the mid-90s.  If it gets fixed, we will go boating!  If not, we will have to stay inside and try to stay cool.

Things are happening this summer that we have been waiting and planning for for a long time.  We have had a big dirt strip in the backyard where a waterfall has been waiting to go in since the house was built 8 years ago.  We are also builing a somewhat big storage shed to get a bunch of stuff moved out of the garage.  They will be fun to build, but we are going to be busy busy busy. 

Well, I'm home from camping and boating and it was great...while it lasted.  I am talking about the boating aspect.  We were having a great time on the lake until my dad shut the boat off without first putting it in neutral.  We didn't know it right away, but when we tried starting it back up, it wouldn't.  Luckly, there were a couple of boats close by and one of them helped tow us back to the dock.  I know my dad won't be making that mistake again!

Camping...lots of fun.  Add boating to the mix and it is great.  Going boating this weekend and it is going to be great.  Tubing, water skiing, wakeboarding; and lets not forget the smores!  Hail the smores!!
