2/28 Concert

The evening was a blessing! The drive down there was only an hour, which was a treat. It was great having it in WI, and not having to travel out of state for a change. Very nice. We met some really nice people in line and hope to connect with them again.

Donnie was out in the main hallway before the show, and introduced me to his beautiful finance. They're so sweet together and I pray that the Lord blesses them for the rest of their lives! Very nice couple.

The meet and went really well. For any of you wondering if you should buy the membership to the campcrew, I urge you to do so. I asked Jeremy if he liked his new home and he was telling us all about it. They love it and are even considering getting horses. I told him that donkeys are fun to have, too.  (We had them when we lived out in the country and they make wonderful pets!) We got our pictures taken, he said some encouraging words to me and then Linda and I went on our way. It was Linda's first time seeing and meeting Jeremy and she was impressed with how genuine and kind he is. She's not one to like concerts because of the "showiness" of some of them, but she totally enjoyed Jeremy and Adie and could feel the sincerity from them.

I've never seen Point of Grace, and thought they were really good. Awesome voices. Mark Schultz was great as always. When he sang the song (forgot the name of it) about adoption, I got tears in my eyes and I had hair spray in my hair....which got in my eyes and I had to squeeze my eyes shut for the whole song because they hurt so bad. LOL.

I really like how Jeremy came onto the stage, very quietly and without a bunch of fanfare. He sat down and began playing the piano before most people knew he was even there. I like that because it prevents all the screaming and carrying on by some people. lol. He sang "Give Me Jesus" at the piano. (Can't remember if there was another one...) Jeremy was really sick. His poor voice kept giving out but he sang with everything within him. We could see it was hurting, but he kept pushing through it. Randy and Donnie gave him a lot of back up, so I'm sure that took quite a bit of pressure off him. Adie wasn't able to do her 5 songs from her new album as she planned to because the evening's schedule was thrown off earlier and they ran out of time. It was a disappointment, but I honestly think it was for the best considering how Jeremy was feeling. I believe Adie still had a touch of it, too, but it didn't seem to be in her voice at all.

Jeremy sang "Tonight," "Take You Back," "Let it Fade," "Jesus Loves Me," (blues/southern rock style), "There Will Be a Day" and I can't think of what else right now. (Migraine from lack of sleep last night.) Adie sang along with him after she came out, and I am always in awe of her voice. And she has such a sweet spirit. You can just feel her love for Jesus pouring out of her. When they walked off stage, they were holding hands and it was simple and precious.

Linda and I had seats front row center. It was perfect. I only took two pictures (I just feel weird about taking them when I'm right in front like that.) Neither of the pictures I took turned out, they're all blurry. I have one from the meet and greet and if I can remember how to post them here, I'll put it on. Otherwise I'll put it on facebook.

After the concert I was able to chat with Randy for quite awhile. He's just the nicest guy and has such a heart for the children of third world countries. I have a lot of respect for him!

Leif had mentioned that he would be out and about after the concert, and to come chat with him, but he was still taking down his drums when we left.

That's about it, I guess, in a nutshell. It was a great concert, and I believe the Lord did a work in many hearts, including mine!
