Afraid

I hope you guys don't mind.. but I'm going to start posting a few songs here that I have written... I hope to record some of these this fall.

This one is called "AFRAID"

Can you see it?  The storm you're in seems to be
So big that you can't find your way to the surface
Of the sea you're drowning in.
Can you hear Him?  Someone's crying out.  Can you hear Him?
It's time to come out of the shadows you're living in.
No use in living there anymore...

If you're afraid, don't be afraid.
He's right there, just a prayer away.
Don't fight it, can't hide it.
He's right there by your side.
Don't be afraid...

You're barely breathing, gasping for healing
You can't see the truth in front of you.
He's reaching out his nail-scarred hands,
He's never leaving or forsaking you.

So if you're afraid, don't be afraid.
He's right there, just a prayer away.
Don't fight it, can't hide it.
He's right there by your side.
If you're scared, don't be scared.
Don't spend your life in fear.
Don't cry tears of tomorrow.
Today is just today.  Don't be afraid.
