All for Dad

It feels as though I spent a lifetime taking care of my Daddy. I remember when I was little and He took care of me so tenderly. He talked about god and helped me understand a lot of the ways of life.

He taught me to respect weather I was respected or not.

He taught me to have a forgiving heart even when someone might not have deserved it.

He did things for me without questioning why.

He made time for strangers and gave a helping hand.(and asked nothing in return)

He would stop the car at every yardsale. ( he said the car had a mind of its own)

He enjoyed christmas best. ( most of all Our open house before christmas with all our friends.)

He loved to smile and make corny faces. ( cross eyes the most)

He made up songs to sings to me and I would get so embarrased. ( Id give anything to here them again.)

He had a faith that couldnt be broken by broken people.

He said life is short so why waist time being angry just forgive and let it go.( so true dads are always rite.)

Things are hard when we loose a parent and I look forward to the day I go to heaven so I can b with my daddy again. He was my life my rock while here on earth and I felt protected from things of this world. I know god is my shield and will do the same from the people whom try to destroy us. Life is very hard rite now with out him. I miss him and pray for life to be a little kinder tomorrow than it was today. I guess it will make me stronger in the end. I will learn to live in the new norm and make each day a better day than yesterday. I will help others with a heart like my dad taught me to have. Not judging . Open minded.
