American Idol Audition

For those who don't know, singing has always been a passion of mine.  Through the many trials that I have faced in my life, the Lord has used those to let me grow closer to Him and to make my passion for music stronger. 

I still am clueless as to what extent he intends for me to use my gifts.  I know that he made me to sing.  That much I know and He has made very clear to me.  However, I still don't know to what extent.  I know it is my dream to sing in front of thousands and go on tour.  However, is that just my selfish dream or the Lord's plan for me?

I am setting out to find out.  I have realized that I can't just go on not doing anything.  The Lord did not give us gifts just so we may sit back and not show our gifts to the world.  He gave us gifts to honor HIM!

I am setting out to audition for American Idol in Chicago, Illinois, in less than two weeks.  I am really excited about this journey whether I make it or not because the Lord has calmed my nerves before it has even started because I am finally trying to use the gifts He gave me!  I am finally following what my heart is telling me and that is just to follow my dream. 

I ask for prayers for safe travel, that I will be in good health, and that my voice will sound good whether I make it or not.
