are you playing games?
OK!!!!! As promised, here is the latest blog/sermon from me. Like I said Monday, Im going to be hated on for some of the things I put in here but to be honest I really dont care. I'm going to be using a verse that I used last time in Romans. Now lets look at Romans 10:13. Paul writes for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Now I have a question for you. When Paul saids everyone, does he mean everyone. If you say yes, you are sadly mistaken. Now, some maybe thinking James, how can you say that. You are contradicting the scriptures. No I'm not. Lets go back up to verse 9 shall we and see what Paul writes there. It saids "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Now that verse makes it more clearly who can be saved, but I'm going to ask one more question, does everyone that confesses with their mouth "Jesus is Lord" get saved. If you say yes to this one, once again, you are sadly mistaken. James, dude you are on a roll here contradicting scriptures. No, I'm not. Any regular Joe or Jan, I had to put that to where people wouldn't think I'm sexist, can get in front of a crowd and say "Jesus is Lord of my life" but has never actually believed in the cleasing power of the Blood. See what most people doesnt look at is that second part of that verse saids "and believes in your heart that God raised him from the dead." There are a lot of people in the church today that thinks well I called on the name of the Lord and yes I believe, so that must mean I'm saved. Not really. Now James, you are just crazy buddy. Why are you saying you are called to be a youth pastor and you are over here contradicting scriptures. Yall are forgetting one simple thing here, God knows every heart. He knows if you are sincere when you called, when you confessed, and if you truely believe. I'm one of those pastors that thinks that if you aint ready to give you life totally over to God when you call, God will be like when truely believe, truely confess, I'll enter in and save you, but if there is any doubt, you better not even try cause im not coming in. God knows if you are trying to play games. I learned the hard way, you can ask my best friend this and im sure he will tell you, you may be able to fool the world into thinking you're someone you're not but you can't fool God. I like using my poker analogy. If you don't know poker then you won't know this, but if you do then you know exactly where I'm coming from. You are playing a game of Texas Hold-em with God. Your down cards are A Q. Really good cards to start of a hand of hold em. So you decide to bet. God thinks his cards are better so he raises. Now with A Q you called the raise. On the flop there was A K Q. You have a really good 2 pair, but there are some cards that God could have that could beat you so you just check. God playing it cool, he checks right along with you. On the turn comes another A. You have what they call A's full over Q or a full house. Not many hands can beat that, so you bet. God decided to push it and raises you. A full house with the cards on the board, nothing really can beat you so you call. On the river, a K shows up, now you have an even better full house. So you bet all in saying God I beat you. You can't have anything that can beat my full house. God calls. You reveal your full house, but Gods 4 K's crumples your full house. See you played a game of cards with God and lost. Now lets use this when it comes down to salvation. God knows when you are playing with Him and if you really want Him to save your soul. If you are playing, God's not entering. It's that simple. You have to be serious about your salvation before Jesus will enter your life and save you. If you weren't serious and would like to accept Jesus as your personal savior, you can do it sitting right in front of your computer. all you have to is say "Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I'm tired of playing games. Come into my heart and save me" and if you are sincere about it, He will hear your prayer, enter your life, and save your soul. But if you aint, he won't. Thanks for reading and God Bless!
