Life

in

Sometimes in life you have to make a decision on what your next step will be. I'm in the process of doing this right now.

God has given me this sense of urgency to head in a certain direction and I have had a hard time a) wrapping my head around it, b) getting rid of the fear that I will mess up and miss the 'exit' (God helped me with that one last night), and c) making sure it is really God telling me, not me wanting it to happen.

God truely is amazing!

I am so excited about what God has done for me in the last week.

I walk into a restaurant and hand in an application, and the owner asks me to have an interview immediatly. Then he asks me when I can start. WOW! It was truely a God thing!

Prayer Request

I need some wisdom this week so that I know what to do about my Job. Many issues are arising and only God will be able to help me! Thanks for the Prayers!

My Date with God

A Couple days ago, my parents had a nice dinner together, and I wanted to make sure that it was alone. After trying to get together with friends and being unable to, I figured I would do it alone. But in reality it was me and God. While I wished that I had a physical person with me, I still knew that God was with me and He had my back. God and I ended up going to a museum and watching a movie! I never once felt alone. It was sort of like a Daddy/Daughter date, just heavenly daddy date.

UBlog

You notice how everything these days start with i? iPod, iTouch, iPhone, iCarly? It amazes me how infatuated we are with ourselves! After a While I know I get tired of myself. Don't you? Yes you need to take time for yourself, but our society has gone CRAZY with "me"!

I think that rather than always thinking about ourselves, we should start to turn our focus back to the things that matter; looking out for each other and keeping each other accountable and strong in God.

Something to think about!

Desperation

This past wednesday night our chuch's youth pastor talked about Hannah's desperation (I Samuel 1).

He talked about how she was barren and was often reminded of this fact by her husband's other wife. After year after year of this, she reached a point where she was in such desperation that she told God that she would do the almost unthinkable if He gave her a son: She would give her son back to God.

Praying for the King

The other day I was reading in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 10, when I came across verse 20 where it said:

"Do not curse the King, even in thought; Do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom; For a bird of the air may carry your voice, And a bird in flight may tell the matter."

I think this verse should apply to Presidents as well. While we may not agree or like what a person of leadership is doing, we still should be praying for him and not negating those prayers with complaing.

Life

So many times we forget in our society that There's more to life than just going through the daily motions. When you think about it, when we just go "through the motions", we miss the cool little details.

Really Random

Have you ever thought of purely random things?

The other day I thought about the phrase "unsweetend tea" vs. "sweetend tea". For sweetend tea, you add surgar or some other kind of sweetener. But for unsweetend tea, you don't add anything. Un-, generally means to take out of, and you don't take any sweetener out of the tea to make it unsweet. Maybe I am just being goofy and over analyzing it. Like I said, Really random!

LOL!

Family

I have one last week with my grandparents from oregon. :( I'm sad, in case you couldn't tell. I guess all good things must come to an end. Hopefully though, my family and I can go see them again soon!
