When do you feel closest to GOD?

All of us have a time during our day or week that we really connect with God.  When is that time for you and what are you doing that Draws You Close to Him?  I feel the closest to God when I have my guitar and am singing Praise and Worship Songs to my Audience of One!  How about You?

Just got the lineup for Hills Alive in Rapid City SD this July!  Newsboys, Jars of Clay, and Philips Craig and Dean are the 3 headliners with openers like BarlowGirl, Downhere, Fireflight, Petra, Desperation Band, Need to Breathe, Pillar, Sanctus Real, Tenth Avenue North, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Addison Road!  What an Awesome Lineup!   God willing, I will be thereWink

Last weekend there was a Christian Music Festival in Rapid City SD.  Lots of great bands, music, and Worship.  We had 20 poeple all together with my group, many attending an event like this for the 1st time ever!  I Pray this had a lasting impact on all of them drawing them nearer to God!  Early this week checking some of the articles in the hometown newspaper I read some of the comments about the music festival.  Its so sad to see lots of so called Christians bashing other Christians just because they don't like the music.  Then other Christians that love

Friends son committed suicide

Last night my friend Ray Abbott who cleans our station every evening had his son commit suicide at his home while he was working at our building.  Kelsey was a 22 year old young man who was always happy and cheerful and occasionaly cleaned at our station when his father was out of town.  This is so tragic....I don't know how I could ever deal with the loss of my children.  The Pain must be so Sharp on their hearts....Please..Please everyone Pray for the family with Healing and Recovering also pray for all the friends and the first responders that have to deal with TRAUMA of s

Music in Church..Where to draw the Line?

Where do you draw the line with Music played during Church?  I usually play only more comtemporary worship music..Chris Tomlin, Jeremy's worship project songs, couple MercyMe songs, 1 Casting Crowns song before, etc..One time with 3 of our Church teenagers we did a 5 song stint with ThirdDay God of Wonders and that Raised a Few eyebrows with some Older Members but they didn't say anything about it.   I try to tone down and respect all members old and young.  To me the more Rockin the song the better sometimes but its all worship and Glory for Him when I play, sing,

With lots of great Christian Musicians out there what draws us to Jeremy?  Myself was 2 years ago at a Hills Alive festival in Rapid City SD.  I did have his restored CD at the time and just purchased Beyond Measure a few weeks earlier.  His music was good but I didn't know much about the man behind it.  From the start of their set, I knew that there was something special about his heart for the Lord.  He read scripture and prayed and even cried when he gave his testimony about his 1st wife.  It was then I realized that the Concert is all about worship and the

A few weeks ago we brought a troop of about 20 of us to Hills Alive festival...ages 76 to 2.  The night before the concert I went out on the deck behind the HolidayInn at about 730 or 800 o'clock.  The weather was perfect light breeze shaded from the building.  I was all alone as I pulled my guitar out of its case and played a couple of worship songs to God....then, just when I finished my second song, I was playing and singing lightly, an elderly lady from 2 floors up leaned by her window and said "How long are you going to play?  We're trying to get some sleep here!"&n

Many times we look around and think that everone is so much more better off.  So many people hide so many things behind there smile on their face.  Do you put up a Smiling disquise to cover your problems?  Do you bring them before friends and family?  But mostly do you bring them to Jesus in Prayer?  Many times I think of all the Pains in my Life and what I've been through just to realize that there are hundreds of people out there that have it much worse.  I need to count the blessings I do have, family, friends, job, roof over my head, food on the table etc..
