Every CD came differently......

This is kinda like a comment to "What draws You to Jeremy's Musical Ministry?" by revelation21ready but it became a long comment so I decided to turn it into a blog post....

Well in 2007 I think, I heard "Give You Glory" on the radio (I had never heard of Jeremy Camp, didn't know who the song was by) and I fell in love with the song! I got "Beyond Measure" that Christmas, and I had no clue about any of his previous albums. How they fell into my hands is pretty interesting:

About a year later, we had moved in this time, my brothers were out in the back like digging or something, and they found a CD in the dirt! They saw it said Jeremy Camp on it and they were like, "Isn't this Ruthie's?" It wasn't actually mine, I had never seen it in my life! When they gave it (to me, I was soooooo happy! I washed it up and it played just fine with a tiny skip on Lay Down My Pride! (It was "Restored") It was actually the next CD of his I had been wanting to get. I mean, of all the CDs in the world, that one just happened to show up randomly in my back yard!!! That was so amazing!

For "Stay," I was in Washington for a family reunion and the Creation West festival was about 3 hours away from where we were staying. Jeremy was playing in it that year(2008) and I thought it was perfectly lined up! I had won two full event tickets from the radio station, and we were in WA those exact dates! I kept telling my mom I was "meant" to go.Tongue out Well I emailed a person in charge of the event to see when J was coming on. Originally I had thought he was on Thursday at some time, but she said Friday! What she was really talking about was some other Jeremy with a different last name. So me and my dad ended up getting there, and we heard about 4 songs from J while we were parking, then we had trouble getting our wristbands, the bus took forever, and we ended up watching about 2 minutes of Give Me Jesus. I was so disappointed!!!CryYell So my dad promised to get me Stay instead.Laughing

Well Carried Me I got as a recording(like a burnt CD my dad hadCool), and I got the Special Edition SLTB just normally.

And when I heard J's testimony, it changed my outlook on every song. In some way, big or small, I could relate to almost every song of his and a lot of songs(not just I Still Believe) were definitely related to J's situation.....(of course!Tongue out) So that's how I got my CDs. I liked how I got Restored the best! lol
