feeling a bit disconnected...

ok, so..normally i'm a HUGE blabbermouth. i mean HUUUUGE blabbermouth. anyone on the jc message boards can attest to that. hehe and, while i miss the boards a GREAT deal, jcc really provides lots of opportunities for me to run said mouth. and i'm TOTALLY bummed that i am not utilizing this to the fullest and really developing more friendships along the way (i can't even count how many great friends i've gained since joining the boards!). so...why haven't i?

well....we decided to sell our house. the market where i live is in such a place that this is a PERFECT time for us to sell (we have a difficult-to-market home), and we actually began the process at the BEGINNING of the perfect time, which means that, even though it's taken us a few weeks to get things going, our chances of selling are only INCREASING (although we may be fast approaching the turning point, in which case all of our efforts will have been in vain, but...i believe this is the direction of the Lord, so...He will provide...). and....let's see - i, myself, have lived here for 14 yrs. i moved in with my husband & his 3 children (who lived here for 6 yrs before my wedding!) when we got married - into this house. to my name, i had a bed & a dresser, and a small closet-full of clothes. now? after 14 yrs of marriage, raising those 3 kids & marrying them off, having 2 more kids & gaining a granddaughter (what?? how did THAT happen?!?! ) - i am SO wishing that all i had was that bed & dresser! HA! i knew this would be a TREMENDOUS amount of work, but...to say that i underestimated that work by a LONG shot would be a HUGE understatement!

pack up junk - check. put junk in storage - check. paint the outside of the house - check. paint the ceilings - almost check (not quite halfway done with that...a guy with a sprayer is gonna come give us an estimate tomorrow, because i'm SO over painting! that estimate will have to be PRETTY HIGH for me to turn him down, at this point! ha!). almost every bit of spare time (not that i had a lot to begin with!  ) has been spent trying to get this house finished (everything on the realtor's fix-it-list, anyway...) and on the market ASAP! so...i've been checking in here & there, usually not having more than 5 or 10 mins to play, and....seeing that i've got a TON of catching up to do! i'm not going to try to catch up with the "chatter" (oh boy!), but i fully intend on reading every single blog (what can i say, i LOVE that stuff!), and probably commenting on most of them (that big-mouth thing...haha). but until then...

the to-do list still includes: finish painting the ceilings, paint the boys bedroom, paint 2 walls in the living room, put down vinyl flooring in bathrooms & laundry room, put down laminate flooring in kitchen & dining room - all of this before carpet is laid on the 8th. *slight panic* after the carpet...paint the front/back doors & steps & do some landscaping. then we will sign papers & get this place on the market (at which point, i SO hope it sells within a week! *hopeful* stranger things have happened, right?).

this saturday, i'll be taking a break from all things house to go out of town so i can spend some time with my older brother, who has been in japan for the last 6 yrs or so. on the 14th, i hope to be making a trip to vegas to see heather clark's dance production (to bring awareness to "the least of these" and donate proceeds from shows/cd sales to help "the least of these" - wanna guess what the production is called? hehe yep, "the least of these" -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAmU2doywhc ), and then july 29-aug 2 i'll be living it up with sarah at spirit west coast, watching jeremy camp & selling artist merch.  and then a jeremy concert in november. a million 's! haha

but...other than that....once the house is on the market, i'm TOTALLY gonna make the most of this site.  i'm going to catch up on blogs. i'm going to comment on them, too. i'm GOING to make new friends! :) YAY!

in the meantime....to those of you that i have grown close to via the boards, I MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!!  to those of you that i've "followed" and have yet to communicate with - i'm not a stalker, i promise! lol just in a CRAZY BUSY season of life. i honestly can't remember EVER being this busy! i just keep reminding myself that it's only for another couple weeks.....then it will calm down (until the house DOES sell...then, moving again! from storage unit to house....THAT one will be FUN! lol).

ok....off to bed...i'm EXHAUSTED! lol
