If you really knew me, would you really like me?

I consider myself a really likeable person, however, some of the things I have done are not very likeable.  I find that forgiveness of self is the most difficult challenge I face in my life.  God speaks of forgiveness of us and  I feel when I am unable to recieve His gift of forgiveness He is probably hurt by that.  As His forgiveness truly is a gift offered to us through his infinte Grace and plentiful Goodness. Just like when you give a friend a gift and he or she refuses to accept it, it hurts your feelings.  I liken that example to Gods' gift of forgiveness to us.  I continue to pray for forgiveness of self and others, though the former seems very hard for me to obtain.
