The Impact We Don’t Realize We Have As Christians And What That Means
A friend of mine and I were discussing Healing Hand of God by Jeremy Camp and how we could all use a touch of God’s healing hand. Of course I agreed. Many of us who are fans of Jeremy Camp have gone through various situations over the years the require God’s special healing touch. As the discussion continued, we talked about Jeremy’s impact on the world and how he may not even know how many lives he’s touched because of his songs and his testimony. It got me thinking about our rewards in Heaven, whether they are crowns or something else. Because Jeremy does not know all of the lives he’s touched, he will have rewards in Heaven. This got me thinking about our impact. We as Christians have an impact on the world. If we are intentional about our actions and words, we can leave an impact and not realize it. That does not mean that we won’t get the occasional thank you. It means that despite the thank you’s we will have an effect on someone’s life that we have not met. The person may have heard us speak, saw us in action, or they have heard about something we did via someone else who knows us. We need to remember that we have an impact whether or not we realize it. Everything we do will impact someone else. If we show Jesus through our words and actions, the impact = rewards either down here in forms of thank you’s or in Heaven as crowns and other prizes. Keep that in mind as you live your life.
