Jeremy Camp Camp Instruction Manual

Welcome everyone! We are all so happy to see so many new faces here at Jeremy Camp Camp! This is an amazing branch of Jeremy’s ministry and we hope you will find it a blessing!

I see a few new members asking the same questions--and that’s TOTALLY okay. I was on this site for about two weeks before I even got the basics…ha-ha! So here are just a few answers to some of the questions I see being asked:

Q: How do I get on the map?
A: Go to your account, click ‘edit’, go to ‘account’ and enter in your location and click save. You’ll show up on the map right away!

Q: How do I upload a profile picture?
A: Go to your account, click ‘edit’ , go to account and in the ‘upload picture’ bar, upload your pic and click save. It might take a few moments to appear, but it is applied to your account.

Q: What do the colors on the map mean?
A: Green means online, yellow means offline and the red dot is Jeremy Camp.

Q: How do I know when I am following people? How do I know who is following me?
A: To follow someone (AKA to befriend them) click the green [+] below their username…if it turns into a [-] then that means you are following them. Most likely you will get an e-mail telling you that someone has started to follow you, if not though, they will show up on your friends list.

Q: There is a green [+] under my username. Do I have two accounts?
A: No worries! This site allows you to befriend or not befriend anyone. Even yourself. You only have one account.

Q: I wrote in the chatter, blog...ETC and I had a word bleeped out. I SWEAR didn't say anything inapropriate...what's wrong?
A: Here at JCC, Dale and all the mods and admins are making this thee safest place possible. But with fun comes rules, that being an EXTREMLEY sensitve word filter on this site. You might see certain words bleeped out that might not seam bad or be bad at all, but it's all for the saftey of the readers on this site. If you find a word questionable, go ahead and type it with S P A C E S. :)

Q: Can I delete my posts?
A: Right now only chatter updates can be deleted.

Q: I'm not getting a 'submit' button on the chatter box. It it me or the website?
A: It MIGHT be your browser...there have been a few members who have been having trouble with a submit button. I would try refreshing your browser, and if it's still not appering, try contacting Dale or Admin for some troubleshooting tips. You might also need Firefox installed on your computer as well. The same goes with connecting with Facebook.

Q: Someone has posted something innapropriate...what should I do?
A: 'Report' the blog, image...ETC and a moderator will be here as quickly as they can to fix or erase the post. Also, if you feel like you are being harassed or being contacted in questionable ways, PLEASE contact another member or an admin right away. This is a safe commUNITY for Jeremy's fans to come together and fellowship with one another, sharing the love of Christ. By reporting something unfavorable, you are doing everyone a favor...you are not a snich or a tattletale by ANY means :)

Q: Does Jeremy REALLY get on here?
A: Yes! Jeremy does have an account on here. So does his his manager Matt and his drummer Leif. Jeremy gets on here fairly often but not all the time (he's a busy man ya know!) :)

Q: What are 'points'? How do I get them and what are they used for?
A: 'Points' are JCC's reward system, well, because they like you here! :D ... You can earn points several ways, buy adding contact like a picture, video or blog, commenting and voting on content and sharing content on the web. Right now all you can do is accumulate points but coming very soon, these points can to diverted to buying Jeremy's merch, concert tickets and much, much more!

Q: How do I vote on things?
A: To rate an image, video or blog, just click the stars underneat the post. 5 means you LOVED it and 1 means...well...it's 1. Please be generous when voting, not to hurt anyones feelings. Same goes when posting comments. Feel free to be honost, but not to a point where it would cause others to get angry or upset.

Q: What is a 'top member'?
A: A top member is someone on the site who has posted the most content, comments, voted on the most material and have accumulated the most points so far. Top members can be found on the left bottom hand side of the JCC page. If you keep posting...I have a good feeling you could be up thre too! :)

Q: I see people mentioning stuff like STLB and B U M E...is it a secret code for something?
A: Abbreviations. You've GOTTA love them. SLTB = 'Speaking Louder Than Before'... B U M E = Jeremy's VERY rare indie CD 'Burden Me' (it goes for over $200 n e-bay when it's listed. Talk about WOW!) You will see many thing abbreviated here, if your wondfering what ANYTHING means, feel free to ask. It's much easier to abbreviate thngs when you only have 140 charactors in the chatter box.

Q: What is a CAMPout?
A: A darn tootin' good time if you ask me! But the correct term for a CAMPout? A group of eremy's fan who meet up before a concert and have fellowshoip together. they normally involve a lot of food, laughter and music as weel as prayer, Spiritual upliftment and a boot of joy. If Jeremy is coming to your part of town, and you hear people talking about getting together for a CAMPout...join in! The more the merrier! you WON'T regret it. :)

Q: I keep seeing something about a 'secret project', i'm wondering, what is it? And can I be included?
A: Yes! Your most welcome to join in...we have several secret projects in the works right now, BUT, I can't tell you over this blog...sorry! You can send a message to either LauraA or Kelly (the two project leaders) and they will be happy to tell you how to get involved (But remember--they've gotta remain secret! Shhhh!) :D

Q: How can I find out where Jeremy is playing...and where can I buy tickets?
A: You can go to his website at http://www.jeremycamp.com/ and check out all of his tour listings. They are updated rather frequenty, and almost every show listed has a link to where to buy tickets. Prices vary. :)

Q: Soo, is this new site like a fan club?
A: More like a fan community. JCC along side the message boards are place to enourage, uplift and minister to one another (as well as a little random humor--that never hurt anyone!). Jeremy DOES in fact though, have a fan club! It's called 'Camp Crew'. With Camp Crew, you get full acsess for a year, first grabs at concert tickets, merch discounts...and so much more (not to mention, exclusive meet and greets with Jeremy and his band!).
