My Surrender

Here is another song that I wrote, called "My Surrender"

For so long now, the rain has washed over me.
Blinds me to the point I cannot see.
THe storm I am in seems to only get worse.
The thunder's clashing, the lightning's flashing.
No end to this sorrow in sight.
But just when life can't get any darker,
You come rushing in with Your glorious light.

I surrender it all,
I lay it down at Your feet,
To Your mercy, Your grace
Which always saves me.
I give it all over to You, now.
It's out of my control.
Once was blind, but now I see.
I surrender it all.

Not one thing am I holding onto now.
I give it all over now, take it from me.
I've lived this life for far too long.
Now, I feel like I am too far gone.
But, You say You love me anyway.
You have power over the enemy's lies,
And give me strength for another try.
Because when life can't get any darker,
You come rushing in with Your victorious light.

I surrender it all.
I lay it down at Your feet,
To Your love and Your power
Which always sets me free
When I'm trapped in the darkness,
With no way out.
I'm giving you all control.
It's all Yours, Lord.

I've walked through the valley of death,
Barely holding on to my last breath.
Trying to be strong on a road that seems so long.
So I surrender it all to Your throne now.
Let Your will be done..
