My Testimony

Just wanted to share a poem I wrote.  It is a part of my testimony

My Testimony

How can You love me, like You do?

My sinful life, apart from You

My guilt, my shame, my lowly life

The pain, it cuts me, like a knife

Who am I, that You'd love me so?

Your love, will never let me go

Your so unwilling, for me to perish

You sacrificed, the Son You cherish

Why did You give, Your Son for me?

There's nothing worthy, that I can see

That You would want, to be with me

And save my life, and set me free

I learned the truth, one spring day

Your love, had never gone away

It was I, who turned away from You

But I was never far, from Your patient view

I thought I could do it, on my own

When all I needed, was You alone

Love was always part, of Your great plan

To bring me back, to You again

Your Word has shown me, the great truth

The Words I remember, from my youth

You loved the world, and sent Your Son

Your only Son, the only one

Who could cleanse my sin, and make me whole

And give new life, to my darkened soul

Eternal life, I could claim

If only I believed, in His great name

I believe in You, You're the only way

You're the Truth and Life, in this world of gray

No longer in darkness, You are my light

You opened my eyes, and gave me sight

Thank You for, Your love for me

You chose me, You're my destiny

You know my name, You know my heart

My life, You'll always be a part
