STEP ONE

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

When we start believing that we are a mistake... that God has no plans for our lives...

When we stumble, fall or listen to the lies swirling around in our heads... we've taken our eyes off of Jesus.

When we believe that we don't have what it takes... we don't have talent, or gifts... again we are not looking at Him... our eyes are upon us. When your eyes turn from Him is when you start sinking... that's a fact. Even but a moment... a mere glance away will do it.

You Believe in Him... but do you trust Him? There is no recipe, no formula for trust. Like the Nike slogan... you just do it. Like when you first believed in the unseen... you just did it. Did he show you His scars? No... but you believed. That's the epitome of faith...(Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.)

(2 Corinthians 5:7 We live by faith, not by sight.)

So you think your life is without purpose? If you want to find that purpose you've got to look to Him. There's purpose right there... to serve Him... to follow Him and to share His love with others. And it doesn't stop there... You're life was designed in a way that only you can fill. Maybe you don't see it. You don't need to.

Purpose doesn't always manifest as some great epic. sometimes it's in the little things...in the moments. Sometimes it's just being there at the right time. A gentle reminder... a warm embrace.. a helping hand... a guiding light. It's in the smiles and laughter you bring to another. You fill a space in someones life... in someones heart... and maybe it will be your words or actions that makes the difference.

Don't think that's big enough? Just hold on... you aren't seeing the big picture yet. But He sees it.

We may not always have a grand story, but we are certainly part of His. You get a part... and you have a place. So if He's nudging you to step out of the boat... let Him move you... If He's saying Be still... be patient and wait. Just keep standing on His Word... and stop looking at those mountains. He's so much bigger than those mountains. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

We can't always see... We aren't always given that. He wants us to trust.
