"Want" out of my dictionary?!?!?!?

in
Ok so a while back this conversation with Jake, Brit, and me, has been kind of stuck in my head lately. I mean there are definately going to be pieces missing from this conversation that may be important but... I just remember Jake saying something about how he wrote in his bible at one point that he wanted to take the word "want" out of his vocabulary. Hostly I never really liked that concept from the beginning, but I think I remember Brit saying something like "oh that's cool, I think i am going to start doing that." I remember thinking I couldn't never stop using the word want.

I mean don't get me wrong I understand where he's coming from. "Want" in a sense of selfishness is bad. But in a different sense, to me there is passion in that word.

I know it may sound kind of weird, but if you just hear me out. I just think that way you use the word, there can be so much passion put behind that word. I mean think about it. What if someone said "I need to be closer to God." or "I want to be closer to God." I think that the second one is just ahhh... amazing. It's just when you are saying you WANT to be closer to God, there's like that passion that only comes from your heart. It's just when someone says that they NEED to do something, it sounds like they were forced to do it and that never sounds fun. But when I WANT to do something there is just that full on passion, drive that helps pushes you towards that goal. I don't know it just didn't feel right when he said those words.

Tell me your honest opinion. I want to know what you have to say. I am curious!
