What Jeremy Camp and his music has touched my life.

It was Labor Day 2007.  My husband insisted that we take our four very small children, I think at the time they were 7, 4, and the twins were 1, to a free concert in Somerset, KY.  He really wanted me to see an artist with the name of Jeremy Camp.  He had thought I would really like his music since the first time he saw him at Ichthus..  With much convinencing, I went.  I had never been to a Christian music concert and I was scepticule.  It was hot and the kids were whiny, but I made it though.  I thought it was so neat how the audience was totally in to the mucic.  The words he spoke were sincere and full of hope.  I also felt God's presence that night.  It had been a long time.  I had a lot of turmoil and felt down. I did not like my job and so much more stress was breaking me down.  Well, that concert was a light among the dark.  My four year old left singing "Give me Jesue".  That night weighed on my heart for a month and I decided to find the name of his CD.  The first CD I bought was Beyond Measure.  That Cd brought so much peace in my life.  The kids who used to cry to daycare, were calm.  Songs like "No matter what it takes" inspried me to set my priorites and follow Jesus completely.  I have since forgiven, try to be the best representative I can be for the Lord and gone through so much healing of past hurt.  There are many more songs that have touched me deeply.  "Revive Me' was exactly the prayer I needed answered when I heard it.

My husband has taken us several more times to see Jeremy Camp in concert.  I think my absolute favorite was last year in Johnson City, TN.  That night was cold.   It was on my birthday in Oct.  I had been trying to figure out how I was going to read my Bible more and never could seem to find the time in the day.  I drive for almost an hour to work and an hour home, then I have to cook, bathe the kids, etc.  That night Jeremy had mentioned that his wife got up early to spend time with the Lord.  The piece of the puzzle I needed.  I get up early almost every morning to read the Bible and to spend precious time with the Lord and what incite I have received.  I am thankful for every blessing and for my husband taking me to that first concert and for Jeremy following God's will and helping someone like me.
